I am delighted to welcome you to the Glenmere Community Primary School website. We are a busy but friendly school, with lots happening each term. I hope our website gives you a flavour of life at the school, a sense of what we value for our children, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.
At Glenmere we appreciate the importance of your child’s formative years at school and strive to create a setting that is warm, welcoming and supportive whilst challenging children to become independent life-long learners.
We look forward to meeting you.
Headteacher: Mrs Samantha Conlon
In year 3, we invited our parents or relatives to come and participate in one of our Computing lessons. We created some AMAZING branching databases! https://t.co/LNjIYGphKW
Year 1 visited the moon today in history. They collected moon dust and rocks, walked around and placed our flag onto the surface. https://t.co/cxVFy67glk
Year 4 have been learning to play the notes C, F and G on the glockenspiel, to accompany the song ‘Lean on Me’ by Bill Withers. https://t.co/ftaFHb4gxC

What a fabulous way of learning that ‘dry ice’ is actually solid, frozen carbon dioxide, which sublimates (turns to gas) at -78.5 °C. The mist that comes up, then floats down, is a mixture of cold carbon dioxide gas and cold, humid air, which is created as the dry ice sublimates. https://t.co/nDpaiHPOYi
Year 4 enjoyed the ice cream they made and loved learning about how it was made! https://t.co/a7dXqDQajq
Year 4 absolutely loved their science workshop today. It was absolutely brilliant and they learnt so much! https://t.co/KppUhbFE5i
What an amazing time year 2 has in their science workshop today! They learned all about sublimation using dry ice. The even made their very own ice cream! https://t.co/cotYPRkyJn
What a great workshop to end British Science Week! Year 3 were learning about states of matter. Understanding about liquids, solids, and gases. We even had a go at making our own ice-cream! https://t.co/InMG3Paslx
Year 4 have been writing some amazing sentences identifying appropriate verbs in reported clauses. They then checked their work by walking their punctuation! https://t.co/Daq5nkXIon
